In 1936, iittala organized a competition to search for objects for the 1937 Paris Worlds Fair.  Aalto's Vase called 'The Eskimo Woman's Leather Breaches' won the competion.  Today it is more popular than ever.  This vase epitomizes the meaning of 'Good Design Never Goes Out of Style'.
