The first Moomin story was published in 1945, and today they are still read by young and old alike.  Tove Jansson(1914-2001) managed to create a world that has enchanted generations of readers.  Over the years, 9 books were written that have been translated into 45 languages.  In addition, the moomin adventures have been immortalized in 3 picture books, a cartoon strip, a T.V. Series and even an opera.  The Moomin Trolls trully have a world wide following.
